The best Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Prep Time – 10-15 minutes                      Cook Time – 50 minutes

This Pumpkin Pie is so easy to make.  It requires just a few ingredients, and 10-15 minutes of your time to get it into the oven. Perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

For the Crust:

  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 stick), melted and cooled slightly

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed

* Optional – In a hurry, you can use a ready to use Pillsbury unbaked pie crust.

For the Pie:

  • 1 (15 – ounce) can pumpkin purée (not pie mix)

  • 1 (14 – ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves

  • ½ teaspoon fine salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 425° degrees F. Prepare a pie crust in a pie plate.

  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices, and salt until smooth. Pour into pie crust.

  3. Bake in a 425-degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° degrees and continue baking for 35 minutes. You’ll know it is done when you can tap the middle and it doesn’t jiggle.

  4. Cool completely before serving.

  5. Top with Whipped Cream, for serving.
