This Corn Bread Recipe is so easy to make. It requires just a few ingredients, and 10-15 minutes of your time to get it into the oven. Perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas or just a great meal!
Servings: 12 Yield: 1 loaf – Double the recipe is the preferred method.

Ingredients:
1 cup Yellow Corn Meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In a separate small bowl combine milk, oil, and egg.
Mix well.
Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture stirring just until blended.
Pour into a prepared (lightly greased) pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let cornbread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
Serve with Warm Butter & Enjoy!
